FIELD NOTE: Clark County’s latest public art project that will yield roadway medians to culture announced their ten artists today. From a field of more than 46 RFPs, a panel made of local artists and a Clark County Public Works Department representative picked the “Centered" artists to be Chris Bauder, Adolfo Gonzalez, K.D. Matheson, Chris O’Rourke, Zak Ostrowski, the team of Eric Pawloski and Robin Stark, Miguel Rodriguez, Jesse Smigel, Luis Varela-Rico and Holly Ray Vaughn. They will start with initial designs, revisit them with community feedback, then work to fabricate and install works by May 2016. A dedication date for “Centered” will be determined at a later date.
