Sixteen proposals were presented at the public meeting held Saturday. Residents nodded at desert themes, sometimes looked puzzled at some of the abstracts, but there were no major concerns about designs for the Clark County sponsored public art project.
While artists have to wait for approvals from NV Energy and the Big Bend Water District before they can begin, some were seen measuring their appointed boxes after the public meeting. The community offered some friendly advice. To avoid painting during the Laughlin River Run, an annual motorcycle rally held at the end of April.
