FIELD NOTES: On the hard streets of the downtown Las Vegas arts district, a.k.a. the 18b, I saw this street piece during FIrst Friday, the monthly art crawl. I am not sure what "We Are All Simpson 32" attempts to say, but it does mark how OJ Simpson may be representing something more than fallen hero . . .And it is hard to miss the response below the sticker. . . Meaning: VOX posts a reflection on Simpon's cultural trajectory, from sports icon, to fallen star, and now as a paroled pop culture figure. It says more about us then him. . . Meanwhile, this past August: In Los Angeles, Coagula Gallery had a brief pop-up show with art and memorabilia related to OJ . . . During the run Coagula Gallery's Mat Gleason shared on Facebook that "Newsweek' ripped me a new one."
