Earlier this month, I was invited by Shannon Mc Mackin to participate in VAST space projects collaboration at the Western, within Life Is Beautiful. My contribution is photography that works with some vivid writing by Molly O'Donnell. She blogs at Arts Vegas where she wrote:
Vast Space Projects may have the most ambitious plan yet. Juxtaposing the high with the low, Vast has curated art that reflects the unique position the festival has put artists in: the modern West meets the Western. A 1970s-looking former casino and bingo hall, The Western is a relic of old Vegas that unlike the Rat Pack aesthetic, no one seems quick to reclaim.
O'Donnell is an instructor at UNLV with expertise in "Nineteenth- and twentieth- century British fiction." Still, I prefer to consider our collaboration as two bloggers uniting to represent specialized online media from Las Vegas.
