The Barrick Museum will host a conversation with "Recent Acquisitions" artist, Brent Sommerhauser in the Main Gallery on September 16 at 6 pm. From the notice:
Sommerhauser and Barrick Staff will discuss drawing, physics, and the methods and tools that are used in Sommerhauser's studio. These methods and tools can be related across disciplines, from art, to math, and to language itself. Experience a redefinition of how the pencil has been used historically and how a drawing is made. A video of the process used to create his drawing "Arch" will be on view in the Barrick's lobby. Audience members are encouraged to participate.
"Arch" was subject for the recent post for the "Recent Acquisitions" series here at PaintThisDesert.
