First Street Trail is under the watch of the Las Vegas Arts Commission. Benches are the next project. From the website:
Main Street/Commerce Improvement project, the city is adding several amenities to make the area more pedestrian friendly. With funding provided by the city’s Public Works Department, an artist or artists will be commissioned to create several art benches and a gateway sculpture for the Arts District at the intersection of Main Street and Commerce. The city and the Arts Commission plan on other opportunities to place art on Main, but this will require additional funding. The Arts Commission invites members of the public to contribute to this effort.
