FIELD NOTES: This La Bonita Supermarket is servicing the holiday tradition of homemade shrines for Our Lady of Guadalupe by selling candles and flowers at the entrance. By placing an image of Guadalupe at the top, it clarifies this is as a point of holy purchase, yet makes for a subversive installation of a religious ritual.
